Eat Apples Quick

By Andy Balaam · 2021

Play:

Touch: Tap the on-screen Up/Down/Left/Right d-pad to move. Confirmed working via direct touch testing -- produced a real, correct score increase as apples were eaten. · Keyboard: Arrow keys to move, Enter to start, Esc to pause. Confirmed working directly, with identical behaviour to touch.

About:

A Pac-Man-style maze chase built in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly: eat every apple before a ghost catches you, with a speed bonus for clearing faster. Confirmed via direct testing on both platforms: the identical Right/Right/Down d-pad sequence produced a real, correct score climb on both phone (0 to 29) and desktop keyboard (0 to 30), with Pac-Man visibly threading the maze on both runs. Unlike this author's smolpxl-engine games (Snake, Duck Maze 2, Spring), this from-scratch Rust reimplementation showed no display bugs anywhere -- every label was correct on both platforms throughout testing.

Tunnel A tiny, wittily-written endless avoider built in Rust and WebAssembly — hold to rise through a jagged, wobbling tunnel, release to fall, confirmed to work cleanly on both touch and desktop with none of the display bugs we've flagged in this author's other small games.
Missile Defense A Missile Command-style city defense game -- tap or click to launch interceptors, timed to meet incoming missiles (including juking 'smart' missiles and splitting MIRVs) before they reach your cities. Confirmed real physics-timed interceptions on both touch and mouse.
Moon Lander A crisp, neon-lit take on the classic rotate-and-thrust lander genre, with a real on-screen dual-stick that we confirmed lands (and crashes) the ship correctly by touch alone.
Pegball A polished Peggle-style peg-clearing shooter -- aim your cannon, launch the ball, and chase escalating combo multipliers to knock out every orange peg. Confirmed a real physics-driven bounce chain on both touch and mouse.
