Star Intruders

By A polished Space-Invaders-style shooter with destructible shields · 2026

Play:

Touch: A virtual D-pad (lower-left) moves the ship and a dedicated button (lower-right) fires - confirmed genuinely working by reading the game's own state directly: dragging the D-pad produced a steadily changing ship X-position read from the live game object, and tapping fire incremented the game's own shot counter from 0 to 1 · Keyboard: Arrow keys move the ship, Space fires; moving the mouse instantly takes over and the ship follows the cursor instead - confirmed genuinely working via real dispatched key input that moved the ship left and right and produced a real shot that destroyed an invader

About:

A clean, well-executed fixed-shooter by Frank Force with the LittleJS engine, shipped as Star Intruders rather than its source repository's original title (which directly referenced the 1978 arcade game it's inspired by). A marching grid of invaders descends and widens its fire as it thins out, four destructible shield bunkers offer cover, and enemy bombs fall toward the player. Confirmed genuinely functional on both platforms - a real shot was confirmed destroying a specific invader (score increase plus a particle burst leaving a visible gap), and touch controls were verified by reading the game's own internal state directly rather than just screenshots.

Phone check: 2026-09-09: renamed from the source repository's original title (a direct trademark reference) to Star Intruders in both the HTML <title> and the in-game title-screen text before testing. Confirmed real keyboard movement and shooting on desktop (a real shot destroyed a specific invader with a score increase and particle burst). Confirmed the touch D-pad and fire button genuinely work by reading the game's own internal state directly (ship X position and shot counter) rather than relying on screenshots alone, after an initial chained-touch test produced a misleading result that a clean, isolated re-test resolved. Install trimmed from the full 65-game, 8.8MB LittleJSArcade monorepo down to under 1MB. No third-party analytics found.
