About:

You are Karen Zhao, a high-school junior whose parents have just signed her up for a beauty pageant without asking. Built on the Dendry engine, Pageant follows the pageant prep, the parental pressure, and the friendships and relationships that form around it, tracking stats and branching toward several distinct character routes across roughly 80,000 words of text.

Every choice is a plain link, so it works identically with a tap or a click. No images, no sound: just well-typeset text in a scrolling column.

Phone check: 2026-09-07: played on a simulated 390x844 touchscreen via real touch taps, 40+ choices deep across two runs; zero console/page/network errors. Choice rows render ~60 CSS px tall. No third-party analytics present.
