About:

Nicky Case's follow-up to Coming Out Simulator 2014 casts you as the anxiety living inside a college student's head, across four acts of one bad night. Real, correctly-cited research (Holt-Lunstad 2010, PLoS Medicine; Wood 2009, Psychological Science) gets worked directly into the anxiety-wolf's dialogue as a comedic weapon rather than parked in a footnote.

Every interaction is a tap: read the next line, or pick one of up to three choices. Some choices carry short-range consequence — accepting or declining a party invite in Act 1 changes which regret-menu appears later in the same act. "SPECIAL ATTACK" sequences dress the same choice mechanic in HP bars and hit animations, but the fight has no real stakes: nothing branches on the outcome, and the final hit always lands.

Phone check: played on a simulated phone (390x844, real touchscreen taps) and on desktop on 7 Sep 2026, through the loading screen, animated cold open, title card and opening dialogue — zero console errors, zero failed requests on either device. install-webgame.sh's scan flagged one UA sniff in scripts/lib/helpers.js; read it directly and confirmed it only swaps 'tap anywhere' vs 'click or spacebar' instruction text, not a mobile redirect or gate. No analytics, no build artefacts.
