Fox Leap

By Leetdom · 2026

Play:

Touch: drag anywhere and the fox kit drifts toward your finger (or, with Steer: drag, moves by however far you drag); tap to hop off the snow; the pause and sound buttons sit top right · Keyboard: Left/Right or A/D steer; Space, Enter or Up starts, hops and restarts; P or Esc pauses; M mutes. On desktop the kit follows the mouse without clicking.

About:

A gentle endless climber in the spirit of the 2000s Flash classics, made in-house for Leetdom. A small fox kit sits on a snowbank under a dusk sky. Frost blossoms drift above her, and each one she touches rings like a small bell and bounces her higher. The first blossom is worth 10, the next 20, then 30, and so on, so a long unbroken chain adds up quickly. Now and then a white snow dove flutters across the chain, and catching it doubles your whole score.

For the first few blossoms the snow is still there to catch her, and she hops back up by herself. After that a miss means a slow, soft drift back down, and the run is over. Higher up, the blossoms get smaller, sit further apart, sway more and some start to sink, so the climb slowly gets harder. A dotted line marks your highest climb so far.

The chimes rise in pitch as you climb, over a quiet music-box lullaby. Your best score opens four more skies: Northern Veil with its aurora, Rose Frost, Moon Pines and Candle Plum. Steering can follow your finger or use relative drag. Everything in it, the art and the sound included, is drawn and synthesised in code, with no image or audio files at all.

Phone check: 2026-09-30: the rules live in core.js, which a node balance bot runs directly. Over 200 runs each: a careless bot (0.3 s reaction, wide aim error) has a median of 45 blossoms and 14,700 points, and 90% of its runs end below 810 m; a steady bot (0.18 s, small error) has a median of 109,000; a perfect bot reaches 2,500-4,900 m before it misses. In the browser: real CDP touch on a portrait (390x844) and landscape (844x390) phone, plus mouse and keyboard on a 1280x800 desktop. Checked the title, tap to start, drag steering both ways, blossoms and the dove scoring, the soft fall and game over, one-tap retry, pausing on a hidden tab, P to pause, and that the production test hook is read-only (cheats only with ?debug=1). Zero console errors and no network requests. QA 30 Sep 2026: fixed two soft-locks (a ground-hop could not reach the next blossom during the safe start; touching the 4th blossom low left the kit stuck on the snow), last sky now opens at 2,000,000 instead of 10,000,000, title blossoms fade behind the menu text; audio rendered offline: peak -5.6 dBFS, music ~14 dB under the chimes, no noise floor.
