2048

By The original sliding-tile puzzle that started the genre · 2014

Play:

Touch: Swipe in any of the four directions to slide tiles · Keyboard: Arrow keys slide tiles in that direction

About:

The genuine original 2048 by Gabriele Cirulli, already hosted on the shelf before this review pipeline existed - this is the retrospective review requested for it. All four swipe directions were verified individually against live tile-position and merge state on a real touch profile, and desktop arrow keys were confirmed to produce a correct tile merge.

Phone check: 2026-09-08: retrospective review of the already-installed build. Played on simulated phone (390x844, real CDP touch dispatch) and desktop (keyboard); confirmed all four swipe directions correctly slide/merge tiles by reading live DOM tile-position and tile-merged state, and confirmed an arrow-key merge on desktop.
