Wireman 2

About:
I made Wireman in 2007 for leetest.com, the portal I ran from 2006 to 2009. Wireman 2 is its sequel and a native remake: the original still plays on this shelf under emulation, but I wanted it to run properly on a phone, so this is the same game rebuilt from scratch in HTML5.
He's out to save the world, and the world won't wait for him: the screen rolls on to the right, and if he falls behind its left edge or drops out of the bottom, the run is over. Tap anywhere and he fires a wire at that exact spot, hands taking turns. A wire that bites yanks him toward it for about a second, then lets go, so a run is a rhythm of throws, swings and flings through brick mazes, cloud cables, coin rooms, iron yards and spinning spark arms. Your score is how far the world got, in metres.
The physics are my originals, carried over line for line: the eleven-point ragdoll drawn as ink lines, the rope wires, the same gravity, grip time and reach, and the same seven level sections, laid end to end and then shuffled. The art and the music are new, drawn and synthesised in the browser. — Dave
