Touch: A genuine on-screen control layer appears after checking 'Touchscreen-only controls': a WASD movement cross (bottom-left), a turning arrow-pad (top-left), and dedicated fire/use buttons (bottom-right), confirmed via a real held touch that walked the player across a room · Keyboard: WASD or arrow keys to move/turn, Ctrl to fire, Space to use/open doors, press F1 in-game for the full control list
About:
Freedoom Phase 2 is the second episode of the Freedoom project's free, original-content replacement for Doom's commercial game data (BSD-3-Clause), played here through Dwasm, an unofficial WebAssembly port of the PrBoom+/PrBoomX engine (GPL-2.0). Confirmed genuinely functional on both platforms: on desktop, held WASD/arrow keys produced real movement and turning and firing dropped the ammo counter; on phone, a real held touch on the on-screen WASD-cross 'W' button walked the player visibly across a room. The installed page has been trimmed to offer only Freedoom Phase 2, removing the shareware DOOM option and unverified-license third-party mods present on the original multi-game demo.
Phone check: 2026-09-08: confirmed real keyboard controls on desktop (held WASD/arrow keys moved and turned the player, Ctrl-fire dropped ammo from 50 to 49) and real touch controls on phone (a held touch on the on-screen 'W' button walked the player across a room to a wall panel, confirming the on-screen WASD-cross/arrow-pad/fire-use touch layer genuinely works, not just exists on paper). Installed page trimmed to Freedoom Phase 2 only (no shareware DOOM, no unverified-license mods). No third-party analytics found.
