Brickout

By A polished Breakout/Arkanoid clone with powerup bricks and rising speed · 2026

Play:

Touch: Drag a finger anywhere in the play field to move the paddle to that position - confirmed genuinely working via a real touch drag that moved the paddle from one side of the screen most of the way to the other, with the score updating from real brick breaks along the way; the first touch also launches the ball · Keyboard: Move the mouse horizontally to position the paddle, click or Space to launch the ball - confirmed genuinely working via real dispatched mouse movement that placed the paddle at two clearly different points, with real ball collisions breaking bricks and increasing the score

About:

A clean, well-executed Breakout/Arkanoid clone by Frank Force with the LittleJS engine: 5 levels of a colourful brick wall that loop with rising speed once cleared, with visible powerup bricks marked by distinct icons (extra life, gun/multi-ball, and others) before they're hit. Confirmed genuinely functional on both platforms - the paddle smoothly tracks real mouse movement or a real touch drag, and each broken brick genuinely shatters into a particle burst at the moment of impact with the score updating immediately, confirming real collision physics rather than scripted brick removal.

Phone check: 2026-09-09: confirmed real paddle tracking on desktop via dispatched mouse movement (paddle moved to two clearly different positions) and on phone via a real CDP touch drag (paddle followed the finger, score rose from real brick breaks along the way). Confirmed bricks genuinely shatter into particles and the score updates in the same frame as a real ball collision, not a scripted removal. Install trimmed from the full 65-game, 8.8MB LittleJSArcade monorepo down to under 1MB. No third-party analytics found.
