By A local-multiplayer Asteroids-like with a rewind twist · Needs a keyboard and mouse · 2019

Play:

Touch: Not supported - built exclusively for keyboard and gamepad with no touch path · Keyboard: Arrow keys or WASD/ZQSD to fly (per player), Space or E to fire/accept, Down/S to rewind. AI players can fill empty slots for solo play.

About:

A local-multiplayer Asteroids-like built for the 13KB js13k 2019 competition, with a time-rewind ability added to the usual formula. Confirmed genuinely playable end to end: joining a second player on a distinct scheme (WASD/ZQSD) alongside the first (arrows), readying both up in the lobby, and independently flying both ships in a real asteroid-field arena. Note that this game's input polling did not reliably register very brief, instantaneous key taps during testing - deliberate, held key presses are needed to join or ready up. The developer describes this as a 'desktop entry' and the source confirms no touch handling exists anywhere, correctly reflected by the desktop-only tier.

Phone check: 2026-09-08: confirmed via source that input is built exclusively on keyboard/gamepad control schemes with no touch handling anywhere, correctly shipped desktop-only. Played through the full flow directly: joined Player 1 (arrows) and Player 2 (WASD/ZQSD), readied both up in the lobby, and confirmed independent per-player movement in the actual arena by holding each player's thrust key in turn and observing only that player's ship move. Noted: brief instantaneous key taps did not reliably register - genuine held key presses were needed to join/ready reliably. No third-party analytics found.
