Skyhop

By Frank Force (KilledByAPixel) · 2026

Play:

Touch: touch and drag anywhere to steer with an analog stick centered on your finger · Keyboard: arrow keys or A/D to steer

About:

Built on the LittleJS engine by its own author as part of the open-source LittleJS Arcade collection, Skyhop is a clean implementation of the Doodle Jump formula: no jump button, just steer the doodle onto the next platform as it auto-bounces upward. Moving platforms and springs start appearing as height increases. It doesn't add anything new to the 2009 formula, but the execution is solid and the touch support is genuine.

Touching anywhere on screen summons a real analog joystick centered on the touch point, confirmed by dragging it during an actual run and watching horizontal speed respond proportionally to drag distance — not a fixed D-pad graphic. The same run was repeated with arrow keys on desktop. Both climbed cleanly past a score of 130 with zero console errors and zero failed requests.
