Puffin Crossing

About:
An endless hop-and-dodge arcade game in the spirit of the 2000s Flash classics, made in-house for Leetdom. Pip the puffin is crossing a harbour town that never ends. Tap to hop forward, swipe to hop sideways or back, and get as far as you can: your score is the furthest row you reach.
The town is built fresh every run from strips of quay road full of courier bikes, fish carts, delivery vans and lorries; harbour channels where you ride drifting driftwood rafts, stand on moored buoys and hop across seals that dive under every few seconds (watch for the bubbles); tram lines where a signal lamp flashes and a bell rings just before a very fast tram comes through; and safe lawns dotted with barrels, lobster pots and crates. The spring tide rises behind you the whole time, so you can't stand still for long, and the traffic, currents and tide all speed up the further you go, through the Fish Market, the Old Quay, the Ropewalk, Lantern Wharf, the Night Harbour and out to the Breakwater. Your best row is marked on the ground with a flag line.
Grab coins along the way to unlock six more friends: Gully the gull chick, Moss the otter pup, Clack the hermit crab, Korora the blue penguin, Skip the mudskipper and Sol the golden puffin. Every generated stretch of town was checked by a solver to make sure it can be crossed at human reaction speed. Everything in it, the art and the sound included, is drawn and synthesised in code, with no image or audio files at all.
