Protector

By A faithful Defender-style shooter, touch controls confirmed · 2026

Play:

Touch: Drag the left stick to move (facing follows movement), tap the right button to fire · Keyboard: Arrows or WASD to fly, Z or Space to shoot, X for smart bomb, C for hyperspace

About:

A Defender-style side-scrolling shooter built on the LittleJS engine, already shipping with a correct viewport meta tag unlike several LittleJSArcade stablemates. The control scheme is deliberately single-stick-plus-one-button rather than twin-stick, matching the original 1981 arcade game - facing follows the movement direction. Confirmed genuinely functional: a real touch drag on the left stick moved the ship, and a real touch press on the single fire button produced a clearly visible trail of fired shots.

Phone check: 2026-09-08: confirmed the shipped file already carries a correct <meta name=viewport> tag (window.innerWidth read 390 on a simulated phone, no fix needed). Re-tested with genuine multi-point CDP touch: a real drag on the left stick moved the ship into view and further across the screen, and a real press on the single right-side fire button produced a clearly visible trail of fired shots, with the button shown pressed. Desktop keyboard (D move, Space fire) also confirmed working via a visible fired projectile.
